This is really what parenthood is really like. You rent two movies (one for mini me, another for yourself and hubby). We have already watched the kids film twice. We haven’t even cracked open the DVD case of Memoirs of a Geisha.
Wednesday night, too tired.
Thursday night, husband out AND daughter pees her bed.
Friday night, guest coming over.
Maybe tomorrow night? We shall see…

I’ve got Netfix and I’ve got two DVD’s that I think…I got in October or November of 2005. Ummm, I’ll be gettin’ to it soon.

We just watched this last night and we really enjoyed it! It is a bit long, but beautiful. I had read the book a few years ago, so it is always neat to watch the movie afterwards. Also weird, we had the same scenario, kid vid and parent vid and we watched the kid vid for 3 days before we saw ours. Ou kid vid was Robots and Luke LOVED it!

I liked that movie, but I loved the book. The movie lacks the depth (obviously) that the book has, but it is really beautiful visually.
Ummm..When I first read this I thought you said “Husband AND daughter pees her bed.” Ha! Then I re-read it. I agree with Joannah. The movie was good, but the book was GREAT.

LOL So now you are no longer “Waiting for your little one” now you are “waiting for time and your turn to watch a movie”. I bet even though you are extremely busy, it is a much happier wait!!!! Glad hubby is NOT wetting the bed.
Not my favorite movie, but it was ok.
like the pp said “The cinematography is breathtakingly beautiful.” But it didn’t have as much depth and seemed to leave alot of things out, I was left kind of questioning, and it took me almost the whole movie to realize that the girl had blue eyes and that’s why she was so special! You need to know that, so I didn’t give it away! haha

We also have Netflix and rarely watch the movies…I guess we should cancel it! I liked the movie, but the book was better. A lot of it was filmed in San Francisco, though! The cliffs are over at the coast and most of the other scenes were at the Japanese Tea Graden…

Get that little girl to bed early, grab some treats, dimm the lights and turn on that DVD!!!! It is so worth the effort to see!!!! I totally love it!!! One of the FEW DVDs I actually bought!!!

I thought it was a beautiful movie. Did you hear, though, that many Japanese women were upset because some of the actresses were Chinese!?!? I guess, then, that we shouldn’t have Americans playing Germans or Mexican’s playing Spaniards (sp?), huh?
