The cool kids

Did you ever have the feeling that some people are so much more intelligent/smart/cool than yourself? Whenever I read posts by Johnny or Kristen or Mrs. Fortune or numerous other bloggers I am blown away by their sheer smartness.

And what about the bloggers who can not only write but make awesome stuff too? I always get excited when checking my bloglines and seeing that Viv or SouleMama or Wee Wonderfuls has a new post. They are like eye candy.

Do you think it makes me cool just by association?

By the way, I moved my book club blog over to wordpress. You can find it here (that is if you want to join the cool bloggers who also read).

I feel this way all. the. freaking. time, but I think it has something to do with my more general feelings of inadequacy in the face of The Dissertation.

    Juliet (Dalian Moon) here!
Hmmm…I think I will have to post as anonymous. You are the second blog buddy of mine to get beta/ Maybe I need to get it too. Don’t want to be faceless.

Anyhoo, I think you are way cooler than me! Haven’t seen you around in awhile, btw.

I don’t think you’re cool by association, I just think you’re cool for who YOU are (how cheesy am I?) I feel the same way at times, but then I remember I do this for ME. There is always going to be someone looking up at you and someone you’re looking up to. That’s the way the world is!

You ARE one of the cool kids in my book!

I think you’re cool 🙂 I don’t think I’m cool. I can’t do cool everyday so I’m just keeping cool people on my links list since I feel emotionally compelled to post at least once every day!

I agree that some folks have a real knack for writing and sharing their experiences in an entertaining, creative and articulate way. But I don’t think that makes them cool – I think it makes them talented writers. However, some people are cool AND talented writers.

So, my point is that I think you are cool all by yourself. No association needed. You’re creative, fun, smart and interesting. Your blog is fun to read and your virtual bookclub seems to be a real hit.

    You Rock!

Shucks, that’s so nice but I feel the way you do all the time! I’m always wishing I had more time to make things, more time to post, more time period. And I never have the time or patience to put together a real post with actual writing (hence all the photos). You’re cool in my book (although as a middle-aged mom who knits in public, I’m not sure what cool is anymore). Your blog is the second one I check in the a.m. (after Soule Mama) 😉

You are tres cool! Look at your bookclub! Coolness in itself.

But yes, I feel much the same way. In fact I have stopped reading most of the “cool” blogs because it made me feel so inferior…

Oh, you’re so sweet. Thanks (I think) for thinking I’m ‘cool,’ but I think YOU’RE cool, so there! Your daughter is just adorable. What joy you must bring each other!
