Whirlwind

First, let me say thanks to everyone who commented over the last few days – it was so nice to read all your comments!

It’s been a crazy couple days around here. I couldn’t believe my ears on Wednesday when we received the call from our agency that we had a referral. I had hoped and prayed that we would be expedited and I am beyond delighted that we now have a second beautiful daughter. Now it seems like a mad dash to get things ready!

A couple more tidbits we learned about Maya through the child assignment and information packet we received today. The referral pictures are almost three months old, which means that Maya was only five months old when they were taken. I now wonder how much she has changed in the last few months. It also looks like in March she was moved from the SWI into a foster home. Apparently she can hold her head up while lying on her stomach, roll around, grasp hold of toys, transfer a block from one hand to the other and laugh out loud! She also is active, restless, likes to listen to music and is a deep sleeper.

I will post more details as I receive them. I better get organized and start painting the nursery! I will post pictures of the room once it is all put together.

Congratulations! Our daughter is from the same orphanage as Maya. We traveled just this past December. Visit our blog if you want to see what you’re in for! 😉 We have some pix of Keira in that same basket of toys and in a little pink turtleneck. Best wishes on your upcoming travel! I’ll look forward to following along.

Enrique, muy buena la receta. La pondré en práctica el fin de semana que viene. Enhorabuena por la página. A los cocineros novatos como yo es de gran ayuda. En el ayuieamntnto de Sariñena están encantados también con las recetas.
